Theresa, Maggie (Theresa's dog) and I decided to hike the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) from Stevens Pass on the south side to Mig lake and then down the Tunnel creek trail. We had to take two cars and leave one at each end but, that makes this a fun hike. We passed Running Deer Lake, Lake Josephine, Lake Susan Jane and numerous unnamed ponds along the way. You start out going through the ski area, covered with huckleberries. We ran into Jean, Peggy and Barb near the trail head picking huckleberries. That was a funny coincidence. One way it's about 7 miles but there is very little up and only a short amount of down when you head down the Tunnel creek trail to the car. At the start of the hike it was a little cloudy but, the clouds burned off. It was perfect hiking weather! This is such a pretty hike. We stuffed ourselves with huckleberries and we saw all kinds of different mushrooms.
It started out a little cloudy but, we were pretty sure the clouds were going to burn off. Besides clouds never stop me from hiking.
Theresa, Maggie and I standing where the PCT intersects the Mill Creek road. I couldn't tell that the camera wasn't balanced quite right so it looks like we are all leaning towers. Sometimes those LCD panels are worthless.

I call these funnel mushrooms because of their shape but, I'm not sure of the proper name.
A fungus that Dave calls Chicken of the Woods. I don't know the proper name of these either. They are so bright!
I call these Puffballs but, again, I don't know the proper name.
