Kirsten, Sharé, Jean and I hiked along the Mt. Lillian loop this week. We were so lucky to see a large herd of elk (at least 15 or more) while still in the car just before we got to Haney meadows. We saw them again at the end of our hike wandering in Haney meadows. There were a number of babies as well as females. We believe there one one big male, but since none of them had horns this early on in the year, I was not positive that he was the only male. There could of been some young males there that we didn't realize were male. I love the rock formations of Mt. Lillian. Some really unique rock.
