We surprised this black bear seen along the Irving Pass trail to Poe Mountain.

This bear must have been having a little fun because we were finding a lot of sliding bear tracks in the snow.

There was a little too much snow to get over to the peak of Poe Mountain. So, I opted for a picture of it instead.

Looking across to Whittier Peak. Cockeye Lake is hidden behind the smaller peak to the right across from the valley we are looking into.
