Dave and I have cross-country skied all over this area but, we have never hiked it. So, we decided to hike the Tronson meadow trail to see where it went and see if there was a different route we could take for cross-country purposes. We were surprised to find a junction to the Mt. Lillian Trail which we have hiked before. We also found a trail marker for the Table Mountain trail, which we didn't know existed. So, overall this was a very successful hike because we discovered a new trail and we found a different way up to Haney meadows for skiing purposes.
A good portion of the Tronson Meadow trail was clear of snow at this time. We had been up skiing in this area back in March and it was already melting fast. So we figured it would be hikeable by now.
We were so surprised to find a junction to the Mt. Lillian trail. We had no idea we were so close to Haney meadows!
It was a scenic view of the snow and trees at the junction.
