Tumwater Pipeline Trail August 22, 2007

Cindy, Kirsten, Peggy, Merrianne, Sharé, and myself did a nice short picnic hike along the Tumwater Pipeline trail to see the pictographs that we have all heard of but, none of us had actually seen them for ourselves. After we found them we headed back to a nice sandy beach and ate lunch. I brought everyone huckleberry muffins, using fresh huckleberries that Dave and I had just picked the day before. We was a perfect sunny day for a picnic. We enjoyed watching the rock climbers scaling Castle Rock, we were entertained by salmon jumping in the river, and a Osprey feeding it's young in a tree across the road. There was an old Osprey nest on a tree on the other side of the river from where we were sitting. What a great day!

For some reason I liked this one the best. It thought of it as the dude with the wild hair!

This section had a bunch of different symbols. The quarter sun symbol Cindy thought meant this was a place to have fires.

Some of us thought the long-necked thing looked like a giraffe and the symbol on the left was some sort of lizard or fish. I thought it looked more like a centipede.
